Covid 19 Along With Artificial Intelligence Equals New Business Models!!

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32

Covid 19

There is no argument that the local economic, social, as well as global spheres have been challenged and some sectors have been drastically dismantled because of Covid 19.

The negative impacts towards the family, communities, nations, and the world have been tremendous. Production, trade, supply chain networks, transportation, social and political network have all been punished.

Changes to business models as a result of Covid-19 have encouraged a renewed approach to business ethics and practices. The online marketing has proven to be robust and resilient with no sign of letting loose of its share of the market.

What Is Artificial intelligence (AI)?

Photo by C Technical on Pexels.com

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the ability of a computer or a robot controlled by a computer to do tasks that are usually done by humans.

Businesses are currently facing a significant challenge in the form of the upsurge of AI-based systems in traditional work practices. The pandemic is likely to accelerate the increasing reliance on automation and artificial intelligence.

AI upsurge has made it timely to reflect on an important related matters. There is no doubt that AI has its advantages. However, how many highly professional roles can be replaced by machines, could ethics, virtue and judgement be automated as well?

What Is Ethics?

Photo by Katie Hollamby on Pexels.com

The term, ethics, is commonly used as a buzzword for ‘good’ corporate and personal intentions. Approaches focused more on establishing desirable principles and norms rather than on the individual who acts.

If ethics can be condensed into a collection of rules, then it is not hard to imagine that the ethics of many professions can be automated.

However, ethics is not only about rules. It also comprises the qualities of the individuals who perform the actions, and the reasons why they act in a particular way.

It is very important, therefore, to consider the work of Aristotle, the ancient philosopher who examined ethics as both a theoretical and practical discipline. His perspectives will help you to understand the proper character traits that should be developed. These traits will show why it is important to encourage behaviours and actions that support the ‘common good’. The public interest is integral in all sphere of ethical life.

What Is Virtues And Integrity

Photo by Amina Filkins on Pexels.com

Aristotle refers to ‘virtues’ as the habitual dispositions to do the good. He explains that those who live a virtuous life are constantly striving to become the best version of themselves and to contribute to the good of society.

Integrity is the practice of being honest and showing a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values. Integrity is the inner sense of “wholeness” deriving from qualities such as honesty and consistency of character.

Virtue and integrity can inspire a more holistic reflection on the ethics and paradyn in all areas of life. This is especially so in prominent roles given for both the public interest and the moral character of individuals.

Human Complex judgments

Judgement is an opinion or decision that is based on careful thought. Also it is the act of judging something or someone and the ability to make good decisions about what should be done.

In the context of daily routine work, many complex judgments may not be necessary. With reference to available data, current technologies, specific clients, and the legislative and regulatory parameters judgement will be complex. To assess pertinent factors in light of expertise, experience and professionalism then to form judgments definitely need complex judgement.

AI-based systems can clearly replace certain ‘routine-based’ judgments, rendering some roles increasingly redundant. However, practices which comprises significant areas where specific human judgment is required in both technical and ethical aspects AI will fall short.

AI’s Current Limitations

Photo by Somchai Kongkamsri on Pexels.com

If eventually an AI-based system is able to form complex judgment and ultimately attains decision making status, further questions looms. Guidelines, policies, procedures, practices and standards will have to be regularized with relative permanency.

How can you ensure that AI-based decision-making supports the public interest? Will the cost of these high tech computers be affordable to the average businesses? Questions and more questions.

Looking Ahead At Education

Photo by Sharad kachhi on Pexels.com

You must agree that AI will play a significant role in the future employment statistics, but not for all, aspects.

Automation will therefore prompt professional ethics designers to reflect on the intended outcomes of the automated processes, and on the moral qualities in relation to the public interest.

In light of this renewed context, there are considerable challenges ahead for professional bodies, practitioners and educators.

Ethics education will also need to be reshaped, to integrate the wisdom of ancient philosophers into the wave of new technologies. There is no doubt that Covid 19 plus artificial intelligence has already given rise to new business models and mindset.

You have to Get Online!!

Any ideas will be suitable for organizing an online business. The scope is very wide including the desire to sell goods of any kind; provide services that are marketable; and conduct negotiation training or webinars.

Rising internet penetration and the growing use of smartphones are predicted to contribute to the growth of the e-commerce market. Increasing government and companies’ initiatives to promote e-commerce sales is a leading trend in the internet market.

Covid 19 has highlighted that online business is convenient and cost beneficial. Lots of overhead expenses can be minimized using online shopping and distribution especially for bulky items

Affiliate Marketing: Use Stories To Make A Lasting Impact

“All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty” says Proverbs 14:23

The Process

Photo by Ivan Samkov on Pexels.com

Affiliate marketing is the process by which an individual earns a commission for marketing another person’s or company’s products. The affiliate simply advertises and promote product(s) or services, on behalf of that company. When a sale is made the affiliate earns a percentage of the profit from the sale.

Promotions refer to the entire set of activities, which communicate the product, brand or service to the user. The idea is to make people aware, motivate and induce them to buy the product. Affiliate marketers are the influencers for the sales promotion which is a part of the overall marketing effort.

A prospective customer, or prospect, is a person interested in making a purchase, with the financial resources required, and the power to make purchasing decisions. The customer has a need and the affiliate marketer will meet that need via his persuasion and motivation.

The Influence

Photo by Nico Becker on Pexels.com

How can you encourage any stakeholders to tackle issues relating to his or her situation? Psychologists have concluded that information alone is insufficient to change attitudes – let alone motivate people into action.

There are two main types of evidence that can be used to support a proposal. A case study which may focus on the story of a real customer, stakeholder or small group of individuals.

The other evidence is statistical fact which uses numerical data. This can include raw data or probability based on historical trends. Hence the importance of product reviews and influencers marketing in the process of advertising.

The Best Tool For Engagement

Photo by Gabby K on Pexels.com

Using a story about the experience of an individual or particular group of people continues to be one of the best tools for engaging audiences, In affiliate marketing this is true and a proven fact. Customer relationship is quickly established by organic advertising and reports from trusted individuals.

Percentages are effective only when they reinforce the fact that a significant majority of stakeholders are involved. In other words, this is persuasive if they demonstrate that a considerable number of people are impacted by an issue.

Some people believe that rationality should rule in the marketplace and that everyone should rely only on numerical data. However, the reality is that most people cannot help but be swayed more by stories than statistics.

The Power of Repetition

From a logical point of view, hearing the same argument multiple times should be no more persuasive than hearing it merely once. Repetition constitutes redundancy.

However, the researchers found that audiences in face-to-face discussions and when reading written arguments are measurably swayed to behave differently when an identical statement is repeated.

This suggests that it would be a mistake to propose an idea or make an argument only once and assume it has been taken on board. Affiliate marketers can be encouraged that their work of repeatedly advertising is not in vain.

Impactful Messages

Leaders often try to give inspirational speeches, mentioning the vision of the organisation, its purpose or how it contributes to a greater good. Researchers have found that there is another way to make such messages more effective.

When organisations request their beneficiaries to speak on behalf of the organisation’s products and services this is found to be impactful. When they use customers to talk about the level of services they received and their efficiency. Others may speak about how their lives were saved or improved by the end product and service.

Speeches and testimonies delivered by beneficiaries were more effective at boosting audiences’ trust and confidence in what is offered. As an affiliate marketer you should strive to use testimonials in your marketing campaign.

Changing Attitudes

Photo by Andrea Piacquadio on Pexels.com

Another rhetorical device for persuading audiences may be to find a influencer who was converted from an opposing point of view. Having a speaker explain the process that prompted their conversion is more effective at changing attitudes than their explaining both sides of the argument.

It is clear that finding good case studies and testimonies, repeating messages and identifying the right speakers to advocate a cause is more time-consuming. However, studies confirm that such methods are also more impactful.

Affiliate marketing is all about repeating the same message over and over. Success comes only when you are committed to the cause. Your confidence is built up further when information confirms that your process is correct. Your success is assured if you continue your dedicated efforts knowing that what you are doing is right.

Active Listening Skills: The Path To Success

Psalm 19:14 (ESV) “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.”

Communication Skills For Career Success

Communication skills allow you to understand and be understood by others. It is the abilities you use when giving and receiving different kinds of information. While these skills may be a regular part of your day-to-day life, communicating in a clear, effective and efficient way is an extremely special and useful skill.

Photo by Christina Morillo on Pexels.com

These can include, but are not limited to sharing ideas with others, actively listening in conversations, giving and receiving feedback and public speaking. It is helpful to understand how to communicate through face-to-face interactions, phone and written conversations and digital communications, like email and social media.

What Are Good Communication Skills?

Photo by Buro Millennial on Pexels.com

Communication skills involve listening, speaking, observing and empathizing. A better understanding of this skill may lead you to develop stronger relationships with others.

Misunderstandings can be avoided, and great things can be accomplished when there is open communication. Words can hurt or they can encourage, they can teach or they can tear down, they are very powerful. They are also a huge reflection of what is in your heart.

Types Of Communications

There are four main types of communications you might use on a daily basis, these are:

Photo by Ketut Subiyanto on Pexels.com

1. Communicating by way of a spoken language or Verbal communication is the use of words to share information with other people.

The verbal element of communication is not only about the words that you choose, it includes how they are spoken, how they are heard and interpreted.

2. Nonverbal communication plays a significant role in your life, as it can improve a person’s ability to relate, engage, and establish meaningful interactions in everyday life.

This is mainly communicating by way of body language, facial expressions and vocalics. Most experts agree that 70 to 93 percent of all communication is nonverbal.

When communicating, nonverbal messages can interact with verbal messages in six ways: repeating, conflicting, complementing, substituting, regulating and accenting/moderating.

3. Written communication involves any type of interaction that makes use of writing and documenting. This form of communication is essential for interaction between many persons at the same time and for record keeping.

Clear messages help build trust and integrity between the writer and the reader. Well-written communication helps define goals, identify problems and arrive at solutions.

4. Visual: Communication by way of photography, art, drawings, sketches, charts and graphs.

Active Listening

Active listening means paying attention to the person who is communicating with you; paying attention to their facial expressions, body language and tone. People who are active listeners are well-regarded by those around them because of the respect they show when interacting.

Different styles of communication are appropriate in different situations. To make the best use of your communication skills, it’s important to consider your audience and the most effective format to communicate with them.

Giving And Receiving Feedback

Photo by Moose Photos on Pexels.com

Strong communicators are able to accept critical feedback and provide constructive input to others. Feedback should answer questions, provide solutions or help strengthen the project or topic at hand.

Providing and accepting feedback is an essential skill, as it can help you make meaningful improvements to your work and your professional development. Take time to observe and analyze why a piece of feedback is well explained and learn from the trend.

Volume And Clarity

Photo by Andrea Piacquadio on Pexels.com

When you’re speaking, it’s important to be clear and audible. Adjusting your speaking voice so you can be heard in a variety of settings is a skill, and it’s critical to communicating effectively.

Speaking too loudly may be disrespectful or awkward in certain settings. If you’re unsure, read the room to see how others are communicating.

Respect And Understanding Nonverbal Cues

Photo by Daria Shevtsova on Pexels.com

A key aspect of respect is knowing when to initiate communication and respond. In a team or group setting, allowing others to speak without interruption is seen as a necessary communication skill tied to respectfulness.

Respectfully communicating also means using your time with someone else wisely—staying on topic, asking clear questions and responding fully to any questions you’ve been asked.

A great deal of communication happens through nonverbal cues such as body language, facial expressions and eye contact. When you’re listening to someone, you should be paying attention to what they’re saying as well as their nonverbal language.

By the same measure, you should be conscious of your own body language when you’re communicating to ensure you’re sending appropriate cues to others.

Responsiveness

Photo by VisionPic .net on Pexels.com

Whether you’re returning a phone call or sending a reply to an email, fast communicators are viewed as more effective than those who are slow to respond. One method is to consider how long your response will take: is this a request or question you can answer in the next five minutes?

If so, it may be a good idea to address it as soon as you see it. If it’s a more complex request or question, you can still acknowledge that you’ve received the message and let the other person know you will respond in full later.

How to improve your communication skills

With experience and practice, you can learn and improve on your communication skills. Start by identifying your strengths and then practice and develop those areas.

It is of utmost importance that a clear and concise attitude with practiced empathy is necessary. Assert yourself, be calm and consistent and use and read body language at all times.

Good communication skill is important in all aspect of your life. Business, family, friends, spouse, workforce interactions all needs this skill. Do take the time to examine yourself, implement and improvement as seen necessary. I wish you great success.

Why Work Hard? Work Wisely!!

The Ants

Ants will come out in the spring to find a place that is warm at night and has food. Many ant species communicate using chemical scents called pheromones. When worker ants leave their nest to search for food, they leave behind a trail of pheromone—like leaving a trail of breadcrumbs to help find your way home. After the ant finds food, it turns around and follows its pheromone trail back to the nest.

Manual Record Keeping

Manually posting records

In my early days as an Accounts Clerk, the accounting work was manual, meaning we did not use computers. Huge ledgers had to be filled up and balanced within a specified time. It was essential to guard against inaccurate postings because when I don’t balance the ledger I had to take the time to search for the mistake. My job then was to post hundreds of sheets to accumulate the expenses for each department by element and description. Reflecting on those days, now, it seems burdensome, physically and mentally but at the time it was not so; because that was how it had to be done.

The Days of the Typewriter

Typewriter

From the position of Accounts Clerk, I was Secretary to the Finance Manager. The major task in this position was typing the annual budget, the monthly forecast and monthly variance analysis between the actual and the budget figures. Typing was done on manual typewriters. The design of the reviews were the same as the expense ledgers with one sheet for each department by element and description.  Whenever there was a change or review of one figure on any page, the entire page had to be typed over. There was no way to save, retrieve and adjust, as is available now, everything was manual.  During this period it was long hours of work, plenty redo and adjustments as figures change and change again after every budget debate.

A Budget Sheet

Enter The Computer

Eventually the company started to use computers so the work load was immensely reduced. By this time I moved back to the accounting stream and was fortunate to have access to the computer. The downside to this was that we then needed half the office space with half the number of workforce to complete the same volume  of work.

The accuracy and speed was improved, timing for monthly reports was shortened and no more working overtime was available.

Accounting Software

Subsequently to this, the company started using accounting software packages, this further reduced the number of the workforce. Analytical information was greatly accessible. The downside to this was that many of the current employees in accounts do not know what the software does and how certain calculations are affected because the computer does all. Variance analysis, ratios, cost comparison, unit cost calculations are all done with the click of a button.

A popular Accounting Package

A Time And Season of Change

I explain this to show how you can work wisely, and not necessarily hard, as long as the technology is employed. Technology   will not slow down, things will continue to reach for the sky. Be like the ant, know your season and work it for your advantage. Step back and examine how you do a lot of what you do. Is there room for improvement?

When we worked in the manual system it was ok, until we saw something better, faster, more accurate and efficient. There is always room for improvement if you look for it. Work smarter and wiser not necessarily harder when you have the opportunity to.

Encouragement

The Bible tells us that we can learn from, and pattern ourselves from the ant. Proverbs 6: 6 – 8 (ESV) says “Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise. Without having any chief, officer, or ruler,  she prepares her bread in summer and gathers her food in harvest”

The worker ant does a number of things as stated here. It goes and look; leaves a trail; announces its finding; works when the weather is favorable; it is not governed.

Like the ant, we have found a “trail” and have come back to lead you to this “find”.  There is a lot of goodies in this find we want you to come and share in it, come take a portion, together we will do much more. The internet is in its “summer” season, this season will change but when it does you would have your “harvest”.

I invite you to come and enjoy the benefits of having your own business on the internet. To work at your own pace from the comfort of your home. You choose from the wide variety of options that are available in this company that has be in operation for over 22 years.

Has The Pandemic Changed Your Retirement Plans?

“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6

Planning For Retirement

Photo by Monica Silvestre on Pexels.com

Retirement planning is the process of determining your retirement income goals, and the actions and decisions you have embark on to achieve those goals.

It also includes identifying sources of income, now, estimating future expenses and implementing a savings program accordingly. You need to manage assets and risk continuously.

The major challenge of creating a realistic retirement plan is to be able to develop a balance between changing return expectations and a desired standard of living anticipated.

Investment Portfolio

You should focus on creating a portfolio that is flexible that can be updated regularly to reflect current and changing market circumstances. Your retirement objectives will also have to go through changes as time goes on.

Keep a close eye on how long you have to meet your goals. Carefully examine the types of retirement accounts and packages that can help you raise the necessary levels of money to fund your future plans.

As you save that money, you need to invest in viable sources that will enable your money to grow. If you’ve received tax deductions over the years for the money you’ve contributed to your retirement accounts, do expect a significant tax bill when you start withdrawing those savings.

The Pandemic Impact On Retirement Plans

Stress levels are usually high because of the pandemic. It’s difficult to focus on financial preparations for retirement when you are facing more immediate financial concerns now.

There is less saving for retirement in many cases because of the pandemic. Persons who are furloughed or laid off are not able to take advantage of the automatic deductions for contributions to their workplace retirement package.

You can make emotional decisions, in these crises, that are short term and not fully beneficial while you focus immediately on health crisis or child care issues.

Older workers are forced into early retirement. Those who have lost their jobs and been unable to find new employment during the pandemic may have no choice but to take earlier than planned retirement.

6 Reasons To Stay On Your Job

Research planners have noticed that during the COVID-19 pandemic, many federal employees have delayed retirement for a variety of reasons. Some for financial reasons others because work situations have altered to their favour.

Employees who had grown tired of their long commutes to and from work and planned retirement in 2020 changed their mind. Once they started teleworking on a near regular basis they decided to stay on their jobs.

Not starting your retirement planning early in life could lead to several serious problems. Staying in your job would benefit you in that you won’t need to rely on your savings for as long.

Additionally, you’ll have more time to save and improve your returns for a better retirement package. This is helpful if it was not possible for you to have a considerable saving amount in the earlier years of your employment.

Reasons Not To Stay Any Longer

When your job situation is tough, unsafe or you have health challenges, you will welcome retirement as soon as possible. While retiring early and spending your days lounging around may seem ideal, this is not for everybody.

Other retirement-eligible employees who must report to a work site and deal with health and safety protocols may be calling it quits during COVID-19.

For others, the pandemic has changed their employer financial situation, and they’re adjusting by retiring some of their staff. On the other hand, where the workload has become unbearable because of short of staff, you may decide that the pressure is too much for you to handle, and so leave.

Balance Your Decisions

Photo by Artem Beliaikin on Pexels.com

Are you thinking differently about your retirement plans now that the pandemic has changed the way you work and live?

Unless you have a plan for what to do during retirement and a network of people to spend your time with, you may be better off continuing to work a little longer. As you put in your last few years on the job, you can also spend some of your off time thinking more about what you’ll actually do when retirement eventually arrives.

Working helps you to maintain social connections, provides structure to your days, and presents mental challenges that keep your mind active. For some people, early retirement can actually result in an increase in both physical and mental health issues, including depression, because of the resulting loss of structure and lifestyle changes.

Open Options Available

Photo by Marlon Trottmann on Pexels.com

The Corona 19 virus has been a huge financial strain globally, some suffer through furloughs, layoffs and pay cuts. Some people have stopped or reduced the amount they are putting in retirement accounts, and others have tapped in on their savings to help cover current bills.

While staying in the workforce isn’t the right choice for everyone, it’s something to seriously consider. If you don’t yet have a plan for how to spend your retirement days or you aren’t confident you’ll have ample cash to sustain you as a senior, just hang in here a little longer.

A part time job can be an option to help in your situation. You can consider all the pros and cons and identify what will suit you best.

A lot of online jobs are available now, some that requires no special skills. You just need a computer, and Internet connection, and you can work from any location. Most freelancing websites list these jobs, and you can sign up on any of them to start working online.

How To Make A Change In Your Career Stream

“Prepare your work outside; get everything ready for yourself in the field, and after that build your house,” Proverbs 24:27

Career vs Job

Photo by Anna Shvets on Pexels.com

A career is the job or profession that you do for a long period of time. Your career is the part of your life that you spend working to sustain and enhance yourself.

A job mentality can be just going to work to earn a paycheck. A career, on the other hand, means that each of your jobs, experiences, and training programs helps you to advance in pay and responsibility.

The real difference between a job and a career is your attitude. People who want a career are always thinking about their long-term goals and growth. To them it is more than a pay check source.

A Positive Attitude

Photo by Ketut Subiyanto on Pexels.com

Having a positive attitude about your career, means being optimistic, interacting, enjoying, and doing what you have to do to the best of your ability.

Your positive attitudes can create hopeful and helpful scenarios for the best outcome in difficult situations. The situation may not be easy or pleasant but your mindset will make a difference.

A career change is the process of taking on a role that differs from your recent work experience. This includes involuntary changes driven by circumstances and changes that are pursued to improve quality of life, job satisfaction and remuneration.

Current Prevailing Circumstances

Photo by James Lee on Pexels.com

No doubt because of the Covid-19 pandemic many individuals are reconsidering their working lives. Covid 19 has triggered a career shock, a deliberate, disruptive and extraordinary event to jobs.

The impact of the crisis has been particularly severe for informal economy workers, for whom staying home means losing their jobs and their livelihoods. The impact of the pandemic and containment measures led to a severe contraction in economic activities.

Many people were unable to go to work and businesses could no longer operate. Even if still working, many workers have to accept shorter hours and/or wage cuts in different industries

Telework Arrangement

Photo by Ivan Samkov on Pexels.com

We see “telework” arrangement filling the gap. It allows employees to perform work, at an approved alternative worksite especially from their homes. Essential services have encouraged those who can telework to do so.

In order to promote a rapid move to telework for all operations that allow it, a series of measures to simplify its use were put in place. It may be healthy to reconsider retirement at this time if telework save your commuting activities.

This pandemic reminds all of being vulnerable and sparks off a voluntary process of pondering career changes. Many are suddenly out of work with no other option but to consider, swiftly, new directions.

Steps Through Your  Change in Career

Photo by Roberto Shumski on Pexels.com
  1. Take a personal inventory of yours assets. Including your training, experiences, hobbies, financial and social circumstances.
  2. Brainstorm career availabilities that matches your assets. Consider taking what is available now but aim for what is your first choice.
  3. Search for potential job openings. You can have options, three or four choices, to fall back on rather than focus on one job at a same time.
  4. Do your research. This is very important because you may want to fall for anything when you see your situation as urgent or even desperate.
  5. Make an action plan and rebrand yourself in action, attitude and thought process. There is a space for you to occupy you just have find it.

Self-Employment Options

Related :The Cost of Missed Opportunities

Photo by Vlada Karpovich on Pexels.com

There are 4 Big Challenges For Self-Employed Professionals

  • There is no safety net to assist if financial difficulties arises. Small businesses tend to be less prepared for financial crises than larger companies.
  • Self-employed persons frequently are self-taught financial managers. It often means having no one to teach you the ropes, trials and errors help you make it through.
  • Do-it-yourself approach has to be adopted if there are financial restrictions. This opens up the possibilities to be very flexible and rounded but possibly amateurish.
  • Because of competition self-employed persons are found to sell themselves and their products and services short. Branding has a very important role to play here.

As you consider new options, do also think about your constraints and personal situation. What restrictions do you face geographically, financially and socially? Consider not only professional but also personal achievements as you reflect on your personal qualities and values.

Consider especially the pressures you may put on your family and the limitations on their willingness to support you during what could be a disruptive time. Think also about the particular skills you enjoy using or topics that engage you.

Habit Dies Hard

Photo by mark broadhurst on Pexels.com

You may feel anxious about the prospect of large-scale change to take action and pursue some new career. However, confidence rarely arises spontaneously, your action is required to generate it.

Thankfully, your change can be broken down into small, very manageable steps. To consider what you might do next, allow yourself time to reflect on how you would like your life to turn out.

When you have identified possible contenders for a new career direction, aim to deepen your insight by engaging in gathering information. Continue to take small steps by reading widely and speaking with friends and confidants to generate ideas.

What Are Possible Deterrents?

Photo by Olya Kobruseva on Pexels.com

Many would-be movers are currently in jobs limiting themselves by thinking of career change as a black-or-white, all-or-nothing transition. They must either quit to pursue the new career or stay as they are. Others avoid changing careers because they fear the upheaval.

Remember to think of career change as a series of small steps rather than one massive, daunting leap. Taking action will grow your knowledge, skills and confidence, so explore the possibilities by taking small steps.

To begin with, do as little as investing a handful of hours every week in researching options and reviews. Having conversations with real people will inform your thinking much more than assuming, wishing and hoping.

You should look for opportunities to volunteer or otherwise get involved. By actually interacting with people in prospective lines of work, you will learn its upsides and pressures.

Analyse And Anticipate Technology: Start Your Home Business Now!!

“He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap.” Ecclesiastes 11:4

Analyze Digital Business Potentials

Photo by Madison Inouye on Pexels.com

Analysis means breaking something down into its various elements and then asking critical thinking questions such as “how, when, where and why” in order to reach your strategic conclusions.

It is predicted that businesses have to look to digital transformation to beat the pandemic and economic worldwide slump. This transformation is the process of using digital technologies to create new or modify existing current procedures. The focus will be on business processes, culture, and customer experiences.

The changing business and market requirements will determine the way forward. Failure to address all the affected areas will leave significant value and processing gap to contend with in the near future. Home businesses will play a great part in this transformation.

Analyze Home Business Potentials

Experts believe that Covid-19 is here to stay and we have to learn to live with it. This will inspire and hasten the digital transformation of all models of businesses. This is a time to embrace technology and get comfortable with working from anywhere, including your home.

We are living in a digital era, with global customers, colleagues and communities. It is expected to expand giving small businesses a bigger bite in this playing field.

We have to embrace the fact that home business opportunities will not be reversed when normalcy returns. This is an opportune time to get involved. Start with prudence and caution, do your own research on the matter.

A research should be much more than just asking your friends and family whether they would buy one of your products. Whatever your product or service, your research should extend to an in-dept analysis of your potential market, your competitors, trends within the industry, forecasts of its growth and likely direction.

The basic questions you are trying to answer are: are there enough people out there who will want to buy my product or service? Would they be willing to pay the price I want to sell it to them? Is my business viable and sustainable?

The good news is that there are many technological resources available to help you with your home business creation and much of it free.

Add Actions to Your Ideas

Photo by Tima Miroshnichenko on Pexels.com

It is generally agreed that there’s a huge opportunity for everyone in the business community. You should positively influence your mindset shift from the traditional way you have done business. Check on line and see what is happening in the area of business. Get ideas, get motivated, see possibilities and move forward.

Apart from technological resources, you can go to where you think your target customers are most likely to be found.  Go to the gym for example, if you are creating a health drink, or in the mother and toddlers playgroup, if you are creating a baby product and then chat with them.

Do not box your ideas into someone else’s experience and position. It is going to be hard but you have to differentiate to be outstanding. In the same breath do not interpret what is going on through the conduit of someone else’s experiences and impressions.

Expect The Unexpected

Photo by Andrea Piacquadio on Pexels.com

There are two standout features of the Covid-19 pandemic: its global nature and how digital technology has been used to tackle its impact. The huge role that technology played, in helping society, organisations and economies cannot be over emphasized.

Reports show that people are offering virtual services online and increasing their business day by day. This means that freelancing is also becoming one of the best future home business ideas.

On-demand talent supply will help to create and augment existing teams. This will result in only a minority of workers been present in the office at any one time. The big question is “What do you have to offer”.

This contactless/remote office model can greatly cut operating costs and is likely to become the norm for most jobs scenarios.

Technology Will Up The Pace

Surveys reported that over the longer term, very few researchers expect the scaling back on technological inventions. In fact, for many, Covid-19 has fast-tracked the use of digital in high-priority areas that involve daily interaction with staff and clients.

The inference is clear, the route to recovery passes through the staging post of greater engagement with digital technology. Opportunities are endless, we are all in this together and as a community of members we will not leave anyone behind.

You have a part to play, there is a place for you, just get up and find it, from the comfort of your home. This may be your chance to begin anew. Make your dream a reality this year.

Tip Of The Iceberg For Internet Income

“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up” Galatians 6: 9.

The Meaning “Of Tip Of The Iceberg”

The idiom ‘tip of the iceberg’ means the extremely small portion of a much greater situation or problem that remains hidden from sight. This idiom comes from the reality that only a very small portion of an iceberg can be seen while the rest of the iceberg, which is much larger, is beneath the water and cannot be seen.

The difference in relative density between ice and sea water is said to be small, hence only some of the iceberg floats above the water. In fact, it is recorded that on average of only 1/10th of an iceberg is above the surface of the water.

The Internet

Photo by panumas nikhomkhai on Pexels.com

The Internet is known as a vast system that connects computers all over the world. It is made up of a massive network of specialized computers called routers.

Each router’s job is to know how to move packets along from their source to their destination.

A packet will have moved through multiple routers during its journey. When a packet moves from one router to the next, it’s called a hop.

Through the Internet, people can share information and communicate from anywhere with an Internet connection. The Web is a way of accessing information over the internet.

4% Of The Entire Web

The “clearnet” covers every site that everyone can access every day for information and communication. It comprises all websites that are indexed in search engines and are accessible to the general public.

This means Google, YouTube, Yahoo, Facebook, The New York Times and all websites that are easily accessed with a typical browser are part of the clearnet.

With this fact is may be assumed that the clearnet must be huge. The truth is, the clearnet is said to be only about 4 to 10% of the entire web, just a tip of the web.

This is amazing information. What can be using the more than 90% of the web if only 4% is used by the general public.

Deep Web & Dark Web

Photo by Charles Parker on Pexels.com

There is a  “deep web” that is not easily accessible to the general public. This web is not available and not searchable with standard web search engines.

The deep web is a pretty safe place, especially when you compare it with the dark web.  Dark web websites are often associated with illegal activity.

While many use the terms “deep web” and “dark web” interchangeably, much of the deep portion as a whole is perfectly legal and safe.

The dark web function primarily as black markets, selling or brokering transactions involving drugs, cyber-arms, weapons, counterfeit currency, stolen credit card details, forged documents, and other illicit goods.

Online Career Options

Photo by Andrea Piacquadio on Pexels.com

Not everyone who wants to work at home is seeking  long term career. Persons may just want something relatively easy where they can make some extra cash fast.

The online application process is simple and straightforward with very little required of candidates. Some opportunities can be started on the same day that you apply for them. They also require very little commitment and can typically be done on your schedule.

You may need to have more than one online job to make your desired income. Also, as you sort through other opportunities, know how to recognize and avoid work at home scams.

Knowing the warning signs of online job scams is important. A recent report found that more than 80% of job seekers report being on guard or very concerned about scams on other job boards.

Here are some basic signs of a work-from-home job scam that you should be aware of. When the job pays a lot of money for little work be careful to check it out properly.

When you’re asked for personal financial information such as your social security number, your bank account, your home address and phone number, your date of birth, etc. early on in the job interview process is another warning sign.

Online Job Opportunities

There are many online job opportunities available. These include Data entry, tutoring, instructors, and may others. What ever is your interest and hobby can be turned to an income stream.

Some positions are mainly found in companies involved in ecommerce, conducting commercial transactions electronically online. Examples include  Amazon, Ebay, and Paypal. The list is endless.

Affiliate marketing is one of the easy online job that you can do from home. It is an advertising model in which a company compensates third-party publishers to generate traffic or leads to the company’s products and services.

The third-party publishers are affiliates, and the commission fee rewards them to find ways to promote and sell the company product and service. Affiliate marketing is only a tip of the iceberg when it comes to jobs that are available online.

Manage Your Emotions To Manage Your Success

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” Proverbs 3: 5 & 6.

What Do These Words Mean?

Photo by Oziel Gu00f3mez on Pexels.com

Manage, using a simple definition of the word, is to direct, control, or be organized for you to reach a goal. Manage is a verb, an action or skill you display, to depict how you do what you have to do.

Emotions describe your physiological states and are generated subconsciously or consciously. Usually, your emotional states are linked to bodily responses to certain external or internal events. By contrast, your feelings are highly subjective expressions of your emotions and are driven by conscious thoughts and reflections.

Success is the standard or condition of meeting your defined range and level of expectations. It can be viewed as the opposite of failure or defeat. The criteria for your success depends on the context within which it is measured, and may be relative to a particular state or to your belief system.

Emotional Intelligence

Photo by Olya Kobruseva on Pexels.com

Emotional intelligence (otherwise known as emotional quotient or EQ) is the ability to understand, use, and manage your own emotions.  EQ helps you in positive ways to regulate your social awareness and to have empathy. It also guides you how to relieve stress, communicate effectively, overcome challenges and defuse conflicts.

Therefore, various researches have concluded that there is wide agreement that the management of your emotional intelligence is linked to your success in life.

One component of your emotional intelligence is emotion regulation – a set of conscious mental tactics that you can use to deal with emotional, stressful situations.

Avoid Negative Emotion Regulations

By better managing your negative emotions, such as anxiety, annoyance, disappointment, regret and anger, you can improve both your wellbeing and performance. There are four main strategies that drives your negative emotions.

  1. Rumination which is a pattern of thinking negative excessively.
  2. Self-blame refers to a process of criticizing yourself.
  3. Other-blame involves attributing fault for the events.
  4. Catastrophizing is dwelling on the worst aspects or possible consequences.

There are five helpful emotion regulation strategies that you can use to manage your emotions.

Encourage Positive Emotion Regulations

John 14: 27 says “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Photo by Mati Mango on Pexels.com
  1. Putting into perspective involves assessing your situation in relation to others that are more significantly distressing.
  2. Positive reappraisal is finding a positive meaning or looking for a beneficial outcome that might result.
  3. Positive refocusing refers to appropriate attempts to think about pleasant situations.
  4. Acceptance is acknowledging a difficult situation as opposed to denying its existence.
  5. Refocus on planning involves thinking through your next steps and practical actions to take.

Age And Gender Differences

Photo by Chris Czermak on Pexels.com

There are broad gender differences in the use of emotional cognitive strategies. Gender differences do not mean that all women and all men are this way. These are only tendencies established within large samples.

Researches have found that women use the positive strategy of putting into perspective more than men. Less helpfully, women reported use of rumination more than men. Men tended to blame others more than women.

Women’s use of rumination suggests that they may worry more, harming their own wellbeing. In contrast, men tend to lash out more, potentially harming others’ wellbeing to a greater extent.

There may also be age differences in emotion regulation. Studies suggest that long-term practice may benefit older persons ability to regulate emotions. In turn, this may potentially benefit their capacity to deal with stressful, emotion-provoking circumstances.

Practice Strong Regulations

Photo by eberhard grossgasteiger on Pexels.com

You may vary greatly in the extent to which you use the various strategies. Effort and intentional practice is likely to strengthen your emotion regulation skills.

Studies suggest that you have at your disposal at least nine emotional strategies for dealing with what ever life throws at you. You decide and choice which you want to employ.

By understanding the helpful ways in which you can deal with emotionally-charged situations, you may begin to find more useful ways of responding. You have to constantly practice the positive regulations to gain an advantage that is beneficial to you.

How Can EQ Help You Succeed?

Photo by Cu00e9sar Valeu on Pexels.com

When you display a high EQ you tend to be less stressed, you communicate better,  you manage your emotions and empathize with others readily. Your social skills allow you to communicate clearly, influence others and manage conflict constructively.

You are able to monitor your own emotions and that of others. This allows you to discriminate among them, and to use the information to guide your thinking and actions accordingly.

The five elements of EQ are self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skill. All five of these dimensions can be developed constructively to make life and work more enjoyable. Self management extends to discipline to cause you to be focused. You then become a high achiever with set goals in life.

“In a study published in the Journal of Vocational Behavior, Joseph C. Rode, professor of management at the Farmer School of Business at Miami University of Ohio, and his coauthors found emotional intelligence is linked to higher salaries and increased job satisfaction.”

Labour of Love: 2020 Years And Still Counting

Psalm 139: 13 – 16 NIV says “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

The Perfect Gift To The World

But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth His son, born of a woman, born under the law…” Galatians 4:4

On that very first Christmas The Bright Morning Star is about to burst forth in all its brilliance. The culmination of God’s plan is at hand. The birth of the Christ was planned in eternity, but now is a reality.

The angelic announcement to Zacharias, the aged priest, recorded in Luke chapter 1, was also an announcement to the world that God’s plan of redemption was about to be completed. The “gift of God” was not only for Zacharias and Elizabeth; it was an announcement to the whole world that the birth of Christ was about to take place. God’s prepared plan was very much alive.

The Virgin Mother

Isaiah prophesied “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7:14)  Matthew states that this verse was fulfilled by the conception of Mary by the Holy Spirit and gives the meaning of Immanuel, “God with us”. Jesus was the union of deity with humanity.

Be it unto me according to thy word.” Mary said this knowing that she would face shame, scorn, and rejection for being found pregnant without a husband. She cared not what men thought or did she only wanted to serve God.

The more you think about Mary’s response the more you will understand what a godly young lady she was. She knew God and she was knowledgeable of the scriptures. You may not know her back ground but her response leaves no doubt about her humble submission to God’s will and her willingness to suffer any consequences as a result of obeying God.

Such obedience is “better than sacrifice”. God will always honour such faith and devotion.

The Willing Stepfather

Photo by Ylanite Koppens on Pexels.com

“Mary…was found with child of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 1:18)  As soon as Joseph knew he began making plans to sever his espousal to Mary privately. What changed his mind?

After considering all the preparations God made for the birth of Jesus, bringing understanding to Joseph was not unusual. Pondering his course of action, maybe, he sat in the synagogue and heard this prophecy lesson of the virgin birth.

Understanding, clarity, revelation and truth came in the dream vision Joseph had in which the angel of the Lord appeared and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for that which has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 1:20

There is great importance in Joseph taking Mary in marriage. Although Mary was a descendant of David she was not of the royal line. Joseph was, and by taking Mary in marriage he bestowed upon Jesus the legal right to the throne of David. God sent the angel of the Lord to prepare Joseph to do this.

The Return to Bethlehem

Photo by Spencer Davis on Pexels.com

“The king’s heart is in the hands of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turns it wherever He wishes” Proverbs 21:1 NIV

The prophet Micah had foretold that the Messiah, The Christ would be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2). But Joseph and Mary were living in Nazareth. With God nothing is impossible, nothing will ever surprise him or be unexpected to him who know all things.

Joseph and Mary had no choice, they had to obey the degree to go and be registered as recorded by Luke 1: 12 . You know that “God works in mysterious ways his wonders to perform.”

The Star For The Wise Men

Photo by Clive Kim on Pexels.com

The star first led the wise men from east to west; next led them from north to south; then vanished, reappeared, and stood over the very house where Jesus was born. We can understand God preparing a star for the wise men. They were respected, knowledgeable, influential, wealthy and they were seeking the truth.

The wise men were right in calling it “His star.” This is the glory by which God has shown His presence to men. This is how God appeared to Abraham (Genesis 15:12-18); to Moses at the burning bush (Exodus 3:1-5); to the Israelites as they left Egypt (Exodus 14:19-26); to Israel at Mt Sinai (Exodus 34:5-9) and filled the Holy of Holies in the Tabernacle and Solomon’s Temple (Exodus 40:34-38; 1 Kings 8:10-13).

The wise men were looking for the birth of the King of the Jews. When they saw “His star” they made all haste to follow so they could worship Him who was born King of the Jews. God prepared their lavish gifts to financed Joseph and Mary while they were exile in Egypt. This is the God of Prevision and Providence, Jehovah Jirah.

The Angelic Choir

“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.” (Luke 2:14 NIV)

Photo by Mariusz Knieja on Pexels.com

Why would God send an angel choir to shepherds? They were looked upon as poor and ignorant. Surely God wants you to know that Jesus came to be a Savior to all people, the lowly as well as the noble.

Besides, Jesus is “the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). He is also “the good Shepherd, (who) lays down His life for the sheep.” (John 10:11).

And so, in the midst of the blazing glory of God these angels sang His praises. These shepherds went immediately to see the baby Jesus. After they left they told everyone about the things they had seen and heard.

The Good News to the World

Photo by SevenStorm JUHASZIMRUS on Pexels.com

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.

But the angel said to them, “do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Luke 2:8 – 10.

History tells you that the Roman Empire arose to break down borders between nations; build roads for easy travel and provide a peace that allowed a rapid spread of the gospel of Christ to the world.

Many “sons” Are Still Being Born

John 3: 16 says “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Photo by Guduru Ajay bhargav on Pexels.com

Have you contemplated the depth of truths packed within this verse, preserved by God Himself, throughout countless generations? Most importantly, how do you live in the reality that this verse presents. God, who is love, actively demonstrated His love through Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, and through Him, offered salvation to all mankind.

God knew how helpless humanity is in the face of the devil. Watching mankind hurt, manipulate, use, and kill one another, God could’ve left us to our destruction. He could’ve been repelled and turned away in disgust leaving mankind to consume each other.

God took action from the beginning of time, from that first sin in the Garden of Eden. The first thing He did was to remove the tree of life, lest we be trapped in a life of sin forever. He acted throughout history, weaving a plan and keeping His promise to save His people.

He sent His Son through the Holy Spirit to be born incarnate of the virgin, Mary. His son laid upon the cross, offering a sacrifice of His perfect life for our sinful lives, which was the redemption price for sin.

The death and resurrection of Jesus have paved the way for many sons to be born into the Kingdom of God. John 1: 12 & 13 “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.”

We must be thankful for the perfect gift of salvation given to fallen man who believe and accept Him as their Lord and personal savior. May that new life find you this year if you have not yet found it. May it become more meaningful to you who have already found it because of the Grace of God given in this world.

Labour Of Love: The Loud “Silence” of God

“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” Genesis 3: 15 NIV.

The God of Prevision

Photo by Denis Linine on Pexels.com

Prevision is the power to foresee the future. It is foresight, farsightedness, seeing ahead; knowing in advance; and foreseeing ability. God alone has perfect prevision.

Maybe you have been preparing for months to make Christmas an extra special occasion, that perfect morning. No amount of preparation you can make can be compared to that made by God for the very first Christmas.

The Scriptures tells you about all the preparation God made for the birth of his Son Jesus Christ. Through his preparation, he gave the perfect gift to humanity, the gift of salvation.

You will see in chapter 1 in both Matthew’s and Luke’s account of the gospel, the culmination of God’s plan for divinity to become flesh. It was no last minute preparation for that perfect Christmas. The birth of God’s Son was planned before the world began. The plan has been carefully and painstakingly advancing throughout the history of creation.

Hope After The Fall Of Man

Photo by Lisa Fotios on Pexels.com

The first hopeful glimmer of the eternal Christ child is in the opening of the book of Genesis in the words God spoke to Satan. That hope was given when your ancestors fall took place and it becomes even brighter and clearer as you trace the promise of Satan’s defeat throughout the Old Testament.

The last chapter of the Old Testament closes with the following statement, which is a prelude to the birth of Christ.

Malachi 4: 5 – 6 NIV says “See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers; or else I will come and strike the land with a curse.”

Prophetical Revelations

Photo by Luis Quintero on Pexels.com

Through Gods word reminders of the promised child is given. In the book of Genesis God revealed that the promised Christ would be “the seed of a woman” (Genesis 3:15); a descendant of Abraham (Genesis 12:3); Isaac (Genesis 17:19) and Jacob (Genesis 28:14); of the tribe of Judah (Genesis 49:10);

In the book of prophets it is given that Jesus will be of the family of David (2 Samuel 7:16; Psalm 89:34-37). His mother would be a virgin (Isaiah 7:14) the city of His birth would be Bethlehem (Micah 5:2) and the time of His presentation to Israel would be 483 years after the edict of Cyrus to rebuild Jerusalem (Daniel 9:25).

Times of Fading Hope

Malachi’s writing, the last book in the Old Testament, was during skeptical times for God chosen people. It was a time when almost everyone had given up hope of ever realizing the coming of the Messiah.

Apparently, the majority ceased to listen to God’s prophets. Feelings of isolation and confusion grew among the Jews during the more than 400 years of silence between the closing of the Old Testament and the opening of the New Testament.

Yet, God’s plan for Christ’s birth was very much alive. God is never really silent.

God Keeps His Promises

Luke 1: 13 – 14 NIV reads: “But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to give him the name John. He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth”.

Luke opens his book with the record of the shattering 400 years of silence coming to an end. Luke begins his gospel precisely where Malachi left off. The final words of the Old Testament speak of the coming of one who would prepare the way for the Lord.

Luke records the angelic announcement of Gabriel to Zacharias, an elderly priest, that he and his wife will have a son, a son who will come in the spirit of Elijah the prophet, and who will turn the hearts of fathers to their children, and will prepare the way of the Lord. He was to be the fulfillment of Malachi’s prophecy.

God Sees Our Hearts

Luke 1: 6 – 7 NIV reads “Both of them were upright in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commandments and regulations blamelessly. But they were childless because Elizabeth was not able to conceive, and they were both very old.

The years of God’s silence concerning Zacharias’s personal desire for a son had taken its toll. The people considered them disgraced by God. The silence of those barren years was broken by the angelic announcement.

Zacharias and Elizabeth had gone through the silent barrenness with their faith in tact. Zacharias prayer had been heard. (1:13) The son’s name will be John, which means, “gift of God.” What a perfect gift.

Silence will always test your faith. When the possibilities of a natural birth was long gone they continue their faithfulness to God. They no longer believed they could have a son, but they remained faithfully attentive through the silence.

There are times when God wants to see how much confidence you have in Him, if you will persist in knocking on the door until it opens. The silence of waiting is not easy, but remember that God is working in the silence.

The Forerunner

The prophet Malachi added these words, “Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before Me; and the LORD, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; even the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight…” Malachi 3:1

Isaiah had spoken of John the Baptist, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord…” Isaiah 40:3. God prepared him in the wilderness far from the contamination of the current system.

God will prepare you while you are in your wilderness situation. He will feed you, provide water out of rocky places, let His presence go before you and His fiery protection will carry and comfort you during your long nights.

John became the messenger that went before Jesus. Luke 1: 16 – 17 tells us “He will bring back many of the people of Israel to the Lord their God. And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

God is still in the business of bringing his children to Him, He is the Eternal Father. He is waiting to turn your heart from the darkness of this world to His light. Do hear His call today. If you have already answered the call I pray that you stay focused on Him.

Proverbs 16:30 says “Body language can expose a person’s intentions:  whoever winks the eye is planning perversity; whoever purses his lips is intent on evil.”

Body language is the conscious and unconscious movements and postures by which attitudes and feelings are communicated. The human face and eyes are extremely expressive, able to convey countless emotions without saying a word.

You may rarely think about your body language. Some movements comes with practice but many are unconscious. When you are networking, giving a presentation to colleagues, pitching to clients or talking about yourself during job interviews, your body language is very important.

Cues are non verbal body language that are done that serves as a signal to another person to commence an act or perform a task.

Advertising and marketing are all about nonverbal and body language cues because you have to put your brand and messaging into every aspect of your promotion. You only have a fraction of a second for your promotion to make a good first impression to online consumers.

You need to capture your online audience’s attention with your website’s nonverbal cues and optimize your virtual first impression. Your successful ad has to stand out and make an immediate positive impression or it will be skipped over.

You have to show people where to look for the most important focus in your advertisement. This is a central focus — an action step, like “Click Here”, or a product, and this is where a customer’s attention should ideally be.

There is actually a nonverbal trick to getting your customer to focus on your target that you can learn to use. Your “Buy Now” button on an advertisement should have a model looking right at that target or main message.

There are certain features on your website where you should draw the most attention, using non verbal clues; use them effectively.

  1. Logo
  2. Main navigation menu
  3. Search box
  4. Social networking links
  5. Primary image
  6. Written content
  7. Website footer

Illustrations with happy faces, hand gestures, eye movements are all other non verbal cues can be applied in your ads. It’s imperative in online marketing that you understand the basic, universal, facial expressions.

The faces and the photos that you choose to display on your site need to convey the perfect message to your audience. Do not make the mistake of using photos of people smirking, giving unfriendly or insensitive portrayal.

“Content is King”

Researchers believe that presentation of content is a significant determinant of investors’ decisions about whether to invest or not. Body language, although important, is an insignificant factor for such important financial gestures. In other words, substance and preparedness matters more.

The quote “content is king” is very often used in conjunction with content marketing and SEO. It implies that unique, high quality, interesting and relevant content contributes significantly to the success of companies on the Internet.

In a job interview, interviewers would be impressed by job-hunting candidates who delivers both substance and style. In contrast, candidates who lacked substance but tries to make up for it by adopting more vigorous body language would not be judged high because content is what matters.

Preparation, Purpose, Practice, Performance

Preparation: When you’ve taken a good look at your keyword research and decided upon a topic to write your next blog post, that is only the first step.

You have to focus on your aim for writing, who you are writing to, what is your expected response and how to achieve these goals among other things.

Purpose: You can write because you want to persuade people. You want to convince them to buy your product, link up with you or adopt your ideas.

The aim of your article could also be to entertain and amuse people. You may deliver serious information using an entertaining mode.

Your blog or article could also be informative. In this case, you write to share knowledge about a certain topic that you are knowledgeable about.

Practice: In order to formulate your message, you could try to phrase a question which your text should answer. You refer to such a question as the central question of a text. And the text you write should give an answer to your central question.

You then have to make sure that your central question is clear. You come up with a summarized answer to your central question in one or two sentences. This summarized answer is the message of your article, to which you will give further details.

Performance: You already thought about your audience who you want to reach when you started your website. But it never hurts to remind yourself before writing your text.

Make sure you adapt your text to them and adjust the difficulty level of the information in your article as well as the difficulty of your style. Review, with a view to improving your body language, tone and your content.

This stage is about looking for opportunities to make your content feels both authentic, smooth and more persuasive. Whatever feels most natural to you, what ever looks professional and presentable is what you should give to your audience.

Use Great Content And Cues

Researchers have found that recognized products that are highly successful all consist of non-verbal signs that have their own meanings. They communicate their meanings through the signs, language and non-verbal communication via there social messages.

Body language is used to strengthen and complement the words, expressing feelings and opinions, used as greeting devices. The advertisement is expected to provide an understanding of the meaning of the communication. The audience must be able to comprehend some non-verbal signs so as to digest the positive messages that advertisers want to transfer to the audiences.

It is imperative therefore, that you learn to use all the available methods and modes that will put you in an advantageous position when you create your ads.
